What is a Future Travel Voucher? When an air ticket or a vacation package is cancelled (either by yourself, the airline or Vacation Supplier, depending on the terms of any travel insurance you may have purchased), you may be offered either a cash refund, a Future Travel Voucher (FTV), or a combination. The amount of the credit will be less than, equal to, or sometimes exceed, the original amount paid towards the original vacation package. This credit can be applied to a new trip or vacation package with the same vendor or supplier.
-
What happens if I rebook using my Future Cruise Credit or Future Travel Voucher and my new cruise or vacation package cancels? If you cancel: Many cruise lines and vendors have flexible cancellation policies in place that will allow you to receive a new FCC or FTV for your amount paid, even when cancelling during standard penalty periods. If cancellation penalties apply, they will be deducted from either your newly issued FCC, FTV or cash refund amount. If the cruise line or your travel supplier cancels: Your previous FCC and/or FTV amount will be reissued at 100% of its original value.
-
What if I don't know my FCC or FTV number/information?With the help of your personal Travel Advisor that specializes in the vendor your FCC or FTV belongs to, we can help you find your Number and ensure you redeem it for its maximum value – this may even include extra bonuses you would not receive from the vendor/supplier directly!
-
When does my FCC or FTV expire?Yes, how long you have to use your FCC from date of issue varies by cruise line. The same applies for your FTV. To ensure you redeem your FCC and/or FTV before it expires, contact a JADAR Travel Advisor today!
-
Will any of the promotional amenities from my original booking follow me to my new booking? All promotional amenities received on the original cruise or vacation package will not follow you to your new reservation, with the exception of any perks awarded from your past guest loyalty status with the vendor/supplier. Your personal JADAR Travel Advisor will present you all the options available for your new trip to make sure you get the best possible deal and amenities.
-
What if my FCC or FTV don’t fully cover the cost of my new cruise or vacation package? If the cost of your new booking exceeds the value of your FCC or FTV, you will be responsible for paying the difference. Your Travel Advisor will work with you to ensure you maximize the value of both your FCC or FTV and any available exclusives and bonuses.
